Come see Kyshona perform w/ the Nashville Ballet

Come see Kyshona perform with the Nashville Ballet this weekend in their show Attitude: Anthology.

Conceived by Artistic Director Paul Vasterling, Anthology is a poignant exploration of Nashville’s rich cultural tapestry. Similar in style to his nationally-acclaimed Lucy Negro Redux, this brand-new production will blend music, spoken word, and dance. Featuring an array of voices and experiences from diverse artists, including newly-appointed Resident Choreographer Mollie Sansone, Anthology will leave audiences mesmerized, transfixed, and yearning for more.

A note from Kyshona about the show…

For the last few months I've been researching and writing an original piece with my good friend, Larissa Maestro, for the Nashville Ballet.  The series is called Attitude: Anthology, and it's all about the untold/unknown history of Nashville. Larissa and I composed a piece for strings and voice about Lucinda Bedford, a formerly enslaved philanthropist and the richest African American in Nashville in the late 1800s. Let me tell you, the research into Lucinda's story had me in the Downtown Nashville Library kee-kee-ing and gossiping about the SOAP OPERA that was Lucinda's life with the ladies that run the archives. If you're in the Nashville area, come to one of the performances February 10-12 at Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). Tickets can be purchased at https://www.tpac.org/event/2023-02-10-to-2023-02-12-attitude-anthology/
